~ The Obituary ~ "To everything there is a season and a purpose under the heaven." Ecclesiastes 3:1 A Time to be Born: On July 6, 1913, a beautiful baby girl named Lula was born to the late David and Daisy (Jeffery )Paul in Darlington County, South Carolina. A Time to Serve: Lula loved the Lord and exemplified this in her everyday life. Lula was a affiliated with the United Methodist Church but later became a member of the Lamar Church of God where she served faithfully until her health declined. She was a member of the Senior Choir and the Missionary Society. A Time to Learn: Lula was educated in the Darlington County Public Schools. She enjoyed reading her Bible and the Daily bread and other religious material. A Time to be Happy: Lula was united in marriage to the late Luther Sansbury. After his death, she moved back home to take care of her father. She later married the late Johnny Mack. A Time to Work: Lula was a domestic worker and Licensed Foster Parent. A Time to Plant: Lula nurtured/raised many children in her home. A Time of Change: Lula's health began to decline over the years. In her latter years, our family was blessed with the assistance of a special caregiver Edna Waiters. A Time to Die: On Tuesday, February 4, 2013, Lula heard the voice of Jesus saying, "Servant of God well done"; come home to take your rest. A Time to Mourn: Precious memories of the family matriarch remain with those who loved her most, her three daughters: Paula (Carl) Days, Viola (Eaddy) Daniels and Elsie Hardison; one sister: Lillie Williams; four grandchildren she helped raise in her home: Michael (Rolanda) Mack, Jaime (Megan Pratt) Mack, DeMario (Keshia Worthy) Mack and Alicia (Lamarcos Mack) Mack; other grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
