Tribute & Message From The Family

Obituary "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Revelation 21:4 Betty Beasley McCall, one of four children of the late John Wesley (Wes) Beasley and Christeen Sutton Beasley of McBee, South Carolina. Her early education began at Butler High School where she graduated in1963. She started employment in the eighth grade with the late Johnny White Cleaners of Hartsville. After graduation she sought and secured employment at the new textile plant, Sara Lee's, later named Haynes. Afterwards she was employed by another new textile plant, Fiber Industries, later named Wellman. Betty was known to be a hard and intelligent worker and through this endeavor she soon achieved supervisory level at Wellman Industries and maintained her position for 29 years and left as the plant started downsizing. After that she became employed as a full-time employee at Wal-Mart of Hartsville. Betty met and married the love of her life Mr. Thomas "T.J." McCall of Society Hill, South Carolina in 1966. This union was blessed with two sons, Antonio McCall and Darren McCall. Betty was raised in a Christian home and continued the Christian journey for a full life-time. Her early training began at her home and was reinforced at the New Hope United Methodist Church of McBee. After marriage she and her husband (T.J.) continued the journey at the Mr. Rona Missionary Baptist Church of Society Hill. Her work ethic continues in her service to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In her beloved church she rose to the level of "Deaconess", but also served in many other capacities including, the Missionary Society. She was also chair of the Oratorical Contest Committee of the Pee Dee Baptist Association #1. Surviving to cherish the memories of Betty Beasley McCall are her husband, T. J. McCall, Darlington, SC; two sons, Antonio (Ramona) McCall of Darlington, SC and Darren (Teresa) McCall of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Rosa Lee Beasley of Hartsville, SC; five grandchildren, Antonio McCall, Jr., Jonathan McCall, David Taylor Cordone, Brittany McCall, Nikki Gibson; three great-grandchildren, Alahna, Jozee and Harmony; four sister-in-laws, four bother-in-laws, many nieces and other very close relatives and friends; as well as her Wal-Mart friends and family.

I am sending my condolences out to the McCall family. I became close to Mrs. Betty while working along side her at Walmart. At times time I would like to say I'm sorry for your lost and just know she is in a better place she don't have to feel no more pain. I will miss Mrs. Betty and no matter how tired she was she always had a smile on her face. She even made me smile when I was feeling down. So again I send my condolences to the family and my God be with you.
