"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance…" Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 Alvin Christopher Prescott was born October 20, 1966 at Saint John's Hospital, in Brooklyn, New York, in Kings County. He went home to be with the Lord on January 31, 2013 at Flushing Memorial Hospital. He was the son of Ola Prescott-Banks and the late Matthew Bunch. He was raised by his stepfather since the age of four. Alvin attended the public schools of New York City. He graduated from LaGuardia High School with the Class of 1984. He continued his education at Medicino College in California, where he received his Certification in Carpentry. Alvin was witty, charming and loved to dress in nice clothing. He had a sweet and loving disposition for his family and friends. Anyone who came into contact with him, loved him. He was a devoted father, son and brother. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Alvin was also loved by his co-workers, where he worked private Security for McDonald's Corporation. Alvin loved the Lord, but due to his medical condition, he was prevented from regularly attending church. His spirituality continued to grow. He knew to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his father, Matthew Bunch and his maternal grandparents, Archie and Janie Prescott. Surviving to cherish his memory and honor his legacy include his mother, Ola Prescott-Banks and his stepfather, Arthur Banks of Hartsville, SC; his daughter, Alicia Prescott of Queens, NY; two sons, Kareem Prescott and Qadir Forbes both of Brooklyn, NY; two brothers, George (Henrietta) Prescott of Hartsville, SC and Charles Christopher Daniels of Jamaica, NY; two sisters, Denise P.
