Obituary "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance…" Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 Betty Ann McCullough was born April 4, 1957 in Charleston, South Carolina a daughter of Minnie Lee Mack and the late Nicolin Mack, Jr. She resided at the Thad E Saleeby Development Center in Hartsville, South Carolina. She departed this earthly life at the age of 55 on Friday, March 8, 2013. Betty was loved so deeply by her family and friends. Even though her family's hearts are filled with grief, the joyous memories they shared will help them make it through. When they remember her smile, it will brighten their day. They know she is home with the Lord, looking down on them proudly. Her warmth and kind and gentle spirit will be missed by all. Those who knew and loved her will miss her dearly. They know to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her father, Nicolin Mack, Jr. and two brothers, Nicolious Mack and Liston Mack. Those who shared the joy of life and survived to cherish the loving memories of Betty Ann McCollough is her mother, Minnie Lee Mack of Hartsville, SC; a sister, Diane (James) Jett of Austin, TX; two brothers, Anthony (Teena) Mack of Austin, TX and Nicolin (Wanda) Mack, III of Lexington, SC, and a host of other relatives and very dear friends. The Best God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
