Ronnie Segars was born October 2, 1956 in Hartsville, South Carolina a son of the late David and Rosa Mae Davis Segars. He received his early education in the public schools of Darlington County, South Carolina. After getting older, Ronny enlisted in the United States Army in 1975 and was Honorably Discharged in 1977. Ronnie was a pleasant person and enjoyable person to be around. He had quiet Spirit. He kept to himself most of the time. He did love to play cards with his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Those who knew and loved him will miss him dearly, but we know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. He was preceded in death by both of his parents. Surviving to cherish the memory and maintain the legacy of Ronnie Segars is his three brothers, Charles (Ruth) Segars of Seattle, WA, Tommie (Geraldine) Segars of Piscataway, NJ and Junior (Geraldine) Thompson of Charlotte, NC; five sisters, Katheleen (Russell) Lucas, Elouise Streater, and Dottie Blakney Cannon all of Hartsville, SC, Lula Oliver of Paterson, NJ and Brenda (Ernest) Jett of Columbus, GA; two special aunts, Annie Lee Needham and Cilla Peterson both of Hartsville, SC; and a host of other relatives and very dear friends.
